They stand behind their product and the customer support shows that. It has been placed in a high flow ventilated enclosure to protect it from the elements and from rodents. I use it all night long for telescopes, computers, monitors, lights and other equipment. It usually only drains to 70%. I have a unique application that will require four of these batteries to power two 6kW electric outboard motors on a 34 foot, 5 ton catamaran. I was attracted to these batteries for several reasons, price being one, but as important they offer a robust \"water proof\" build which includes a 300A BMS, grade A prismatic cells, a very good blue tooth app, and a RS485 \"wired\" external BMS monitor which provides some control of BMS functions, all in a 15x9x26 footprint. They also include functional 20A chargers with each battery.\nMy tests were pretty simple... charge the batteries (two paralleled) up to capacity (300Ah) and then discharge them continuously at a rate of 60A until \"empty\", or the BMS kicks in to protect them from damage. This rate is about half-speed for the motors. The simulated discharging was accomplished using two 1500w space heaters running for nearly 5 hours. In two separate trials BMS kicked in protection mode at about the -280 consumed Ah mark (measured using a separate Victron 702 battery monitor). This was not unexpected. In my view, the BMS did it's job correctly. Had the burn rate been 20A, over 15 or 20 hours, I am confident the tests would have completed at or near the -300 Ah target. All this being said, I intend to order two additional batteries and proceed with their installation on my boat.\nI also want to complement the support staff at Cloud Energy. Throughout this exercise they were very responsive, gave me clear comprehensive answers to my numerous questions, often within minutes of my emails. When I had an issue with one of the chargers they replaced it without question. On support, I give them an A+.\nI hasten to point out... I am not a professional working in the field. These tests were NOT done in a tightly controlled laboratory setting, there are numerous uncontrolled/unmeasured variables that could affect the outcome.\nHowever, as a purchaser, I am satisfied that these batteries are an excellent choice for my application. Straight out of the box both batteries are damaged. One has a completely disconnected screen and the other is significantly physically damaged. Neither showed extreme physical damage on the box yet one that is significantly damaged you can see the impact on the case had popped off 2 screws which were nowhere to be found in the box either. Actually they have improved quite significantly, no longer using copper wire bars like the old battery in the last picture, they now use the green circuit board placed directly on top of the cells and bolted down, so it is much cleaner, but they did scratch off the QR code on top of each cells, so i can’t check what cells are they using. Also the length of the new battery box is slightly longer than the old one so i had to modify the bracket to fit in.\n\nAnyway, I recommend this battery. It's said to be very efficient, it's very powerful. I imagine most folks could power their whole house if they get enough solar panels and add a couple of extra batteries.\nIt's not 100% self explainatory, and the manual is not the best at explaining, although it is nicely illustrated with super nice paper and printing. And the machine is like that, it is solid! Thick metal! HEAVY! The battery alone weighs over 130 pounds! And the inverter is another 85 lbs (or so). Everything about this unit gives the impression of durability.\nTheir customer service is UNMATCHED by ANY company I've dealt with! Through e-mail they'll communicate efficiently helping you step by step if you need someone to hold your hand (like I did).\nI'm pleased enough with it that I already know I'll want to get another battery for it. That would be enough to power my computer lab with rare needs to pull from the grid.\nNow, I've still got to learn how to program it fully. The manual tells how.... but really, it's complex enough that I might need a week to begin to understand it. There are ways to have it charge using solar as preferenece, or to pull from the wall at times when it's getting to a low state. This will take me time to learn, but my confidence in the company and their equipment is high.\nAnd yes, I'll be getting another batteery before long. My computers use about 4kw per ten hours (I process art 24/7). One battery holds me for fifteen hours before I start getting near that 20% discharge I want to stay above. So I unplug the computer from it, and plug the computer into the wall to keep working. Then when the sun comes along some hours later and shines into this desert arroyo, I need to charge the battery from the solar panels through the day as the few hours of winter sun don't pack enough energy into my low number of panels. Also, the BMS DOES NOT provide low-temp charging protection. I've contacted them about both issues and they seem responsive.. we'll see.
